Burn Permits
Burn Permits are issued to those
applicants who:
- Read, fill out, and sign a Burn Permit
Application
- Have their burn area inspected by the
Fire Department
- Adhere to the Burn Permit
restrictions.
The Burn Permit Restrictions are:
- You are allowed to burn during the
following hours:
- April through September - 8:00 AM
through 4:00 PM
- October - 9:00 AM through 3:00 PM
- November through February - 10:00
AM through 2:00 PM
- March - 9:00 AM through 3:00 PM
- You are not allowed to burn
debris/needles at night or after the posted hours.
- The permitee or designee must be an
ADULT and outside and within sight of the burning until the fire is
completely cold and out.
- Wind must not be over 5 MPH (i.e. over
a slight breeze)
- The Fire Department must be notified
prior to burning, each and every day of burning.
- There will be no burning during the
following conditions:
- Winds over 5 MPH
- Red Flag conditions (watch for
signs/flags at subdivision entrances)
- Water shortage
- Extreme fire behavior conditions
- Revocation of your Burn Permit
- Note: Fire conditions change hourly
and you may be requested to put your burn out cold as conditions
warrant. This is why you must notify the department (read:
"request to burn") each and every day that you intend to
burn!
