The regular meeting of the Forest Lakes Owners Association was held at the Chevelon Butte School.

There being a quorum present the meeting was called to order by the president, Frank Astemborski at 2:00 P.M.

The minutes of the MAY FLOA Meeting were read by Dianne, and on a motion by Dianne seconded by Carole, were unanimously approved as amended by the officers present.

On a motion by Virgilee, seconded by Jack, the treasurer's report was approved by the officers present.
RODEO-CHEDISKI HISTORY: Carole Short – Carole stated that Cheryl Rife had approached her about putting a personal history together about the Fire. What Carole asked is for people to write their personal history of the fire, their emotions, and what happened to them, while evacuated etc. Steve will then edit it and put it together for a publication. You can drop articles off at the Library or send them to the Webpage manger; if you wish to be anonymous you may do so.
MEMBERSHIP: VIRGILEE SCHOLL
On of 6/21/03 there were 590 members
WEBMASTER: VIRGILEE SCHOLL Send your personal History’s of The Fire.
TOWN HALL: FRANK stated that at the Town Hall only two committees were
formed. One for the Community Building and one on fire safety known as FRAT. The persons that signed up for the Community Building have gradually diminished to the point that only three persons attended the last meeting.
DIANNE stated that the FRAT team was in full force. That people had contacted us from out of state wanting to know how to get their property cleaned. The classes were announced and many persons were taking the classes. A large map was made that showed the lots that were cleared, trees marked, and under contract and was visible at the breakfast.
BREAKFAST: FRANK – The Breakfast was another success. We served 538 people and cleared $1637, which was divided with the Fire Auxiliary for $818.50 for FLOA and the Auxiliary. Frank stated that many more people are needed to help set up for events.
JULY 4TH PICNIC: The people that do the Mexican Food said they would come and put on the dinner and needed a kitchen. Many people offered their kitchens and that they would be there to serve. They thanked all those who offered their kitchens.
ROAD CLEAN UP: FRANK thanked Gene Jeardoe for his many years of leading this Community Service. Frank announced that Chick Ideker volunteered to lead this activity and it will be done after the July 4th Picnic.
NEWSLETTER: VIRGILEE SCHOLL - The paper goes to the printer 7/07/03. Any one running for the FLOA Board needs to get their biography in to the paper before 7/7/03. There are 3 positions open, Jack’s, Nancy’s, and Frank’s positions are open.
OUTSTANDINNG COMMUNITY ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
COMMITTEE: VIRGILEE AND DIANNE will have the nominations forms for anyone who wants to make a nomination.
SCHOOL BOARD: Jan reported that due to all of the ramifications of having a school district in Winslow and dissolving CHEVELON BUTTE SCHOOL the decision has been made to keep the CHEVELON BUTTE SCHOOL.
AUXILLARY: JAN The Auxiliary will be having an Ice Cream Social from 5:00 to 8:00 pm tonight at the Fire Station.
NEW BUSINESS:
OPEN FORUM: Wayne announced that the Water Department, for the first time, has a 5 year Financial Plan.
Chick announced that the Quilt was on display and she had raffle tickets.
