There will be a meeting on Saturday, January 9th
at the library with Matt Ryan and Cecilia Owen who is the school superintendent to talk about the dissolution of the shool district which would raise the taxes for Forest Lakes.
The meeting is at 2PM.


 

Notice: FLOA is not expecting to be holding
any board meetings until spring (March 2010)

State Forester Grant Agreement No. WFHI 09-002

Now available to residents to reduce and remove fuels and mitigate fire potential.

This grant is available from August 1, 2009 through 12-31-2011

Reimbursement of 90% of invoice not to exceed $800.00 is available

Previous grant recipients may apply for additional tree thinning; however at a reduced reimbursement of up to 50% of $800, not to exceed $400

Bears having a dumpster feast in your neighborhood?

Bears are being trained and "set up" by many Forest Lakes residents
leaving their refuse and dumpsters unsecured.

Please don't train "good bears" to become "problem bears"
by leaving your dumpsters and trash cans unsecured overnight,
leaving them out beyond the necessary time for collection,
or by feeding wild animals.

Don't lead a good bear into becoming a problem bear.

Think about it.

Green Waste Site Hours

The Green Waste Site will be open from 8:00am to 4:00pm each Friday and Saturday.

The Green Waste Site is located 1/4 mile west on 99A from the corner of FR99 and FR99A.

Cost per load is $2 for
homeowners and $5 for contractors.

  • Have the area inspected
